The pines are standing tall and the fairways are open as golf season ramps up. Whether you swing left or right, a recent review shines light on the prevalence of injuries in different golfers. In the review, the researchers compared the lifetime prevalence of injury between amateur and professional golfers, finding that lower back injuries were significantly more prevalent among professional golfers. The same result was also found for hand and wrist injuries. With these results in mind, the researchers discussed the need for more injury prevention research in golf, which could also help the players on the course.
